Independent Wealth Adviser (IFA)

Are you an experienced Financial Adviser looking to join an established Wealth Management practice that specialises in providing an in-house Discretionary Portfolio Management service?

You will be joining a growing and forward thinking team that has an outstanding reputation for client service. You will have a proven track record within financial planning and have a particular interest and knowledge in the investment side of wealth management.

You may already hold the Certificate of Discretionary Management (J10) and ideally be working towards Chartered status.

Role requirements:

To seek out and assist clients mainly in and around the Bristol area, however our portfolio management service is provided on a nationwide basis.

Show the ability to generate new sources of business through referrals, your own introductions and initiative.

Subject to relevant experience, become a member of our Investment Committee by demonstrating a working knowledge and interest in the Investment arena.

Look to expand your technical knowledge in specialist areas.

Adhere to the principles of TCF.

Graduate Opportunity

IT Assistant

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our team. We are an established Wealth Management IFA practice that specialises in Discretionary Portfolio Management.

You will be working alongside the IT Manager helping to build, run and maintain the systems of the company. You will also be supporting the team with any IT issues that arise on a day to day basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support our Apple Mac operating systems including the main Server.
  • Help and assist with the team’s IT needs and hardware servicing.
  • Provide application support including team training if necessary.
  • Assist in software releases, roll-outs and updates to our secure client portal .
  • Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and FAQ resources on the suppliers website to aid in problem resolution.
  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware and configuring systems and applications.
  • Test fixes to ensure problem has been adequately resolved.

 Personal Abilities

  • Self motivated to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required.
  • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Have a willingness to learn, use initiative and work well as part of a team.

Job Description:

We are a progressive Wealth Management company specialising in Discretionary Portfolio Management with ambitious plans for the future. We are looking for a special talented person to join our tightly knit team.

Are you that person?

Your role will include dealing directly with a range of clients on a face-to-face basis as well as by phone, mail and electronic means. You will be preparing documents for client meetings and producing client suitability reports together with a variety of other tasks. Your writing and computing skills will be excellent.

We use Apple systems and a knowledge of these would be helpful.

You will have relevant industry knowledge, experience and already be studying towards an appropriate financial services qualification. We will support and encourage on-going career development.

Salary is competitive and negotiable depending on experience and ability.
